डिजिटल करन्सी म्हणजे काय ?  देशातील चलन व्यवहारात मंगळवारी एक छोटीशी क्रांती झाली. रिझर्व्ह बँकेने देशातील पहिली डिजिटल करन्सी 'ई-रूपी' बाजारात आणली. यास सेंट्रल बँक डिजिटल करन्सी (सीबीडीसी) असे म्हटले जाते. हे चलन सध्या प्रायोगिक तत्त्वावर जारी करण्यात आले आहे.  चलनाचे फायदे ?  ई-रूपीवर रिझर्व्ह बँकेचे नियंत्रण असल्यामुळे हे चलन विश्वासार्ह आणि सुरक्षित 'असेल. यामुळे नागरिकांना स्वतःजवळ रोख पैसे ठेवण्याची आवश्यकता राहणार नाही. क्रिप्टो करन्सीप्रमाणेच या चलनासाठीही ब्लॉकचेन तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करण्यात येणार आहे.  वापर कसा होणार?  १ नोव्हेंबरपासून याचा मोठ्या व्यवहारांसाठी वापर होणार आहे. सध्या सरकारी सिक्युरिटीजच्या खरेदी-विक्रीसाठी याचा वापर होईल. कालांतराने किरकोळ व्यवहारांसाठीही ई-रूपीचा वापर करता येऊ शकेल.  ई-रूपीचा वापर मोबाईल वॉलेटमधून करता येईल. त्यासाठी बैंक खाते असणे आवश्यक असणार नाही. याचा  वापर करून ग्राहकांना रोख रक्कमही काढता येऊ शकेल. कोणालाही पैसे पाठवण्यासाठी याचा वापर करता येईल.  चलनाचे दोन प्रकार  या चलनाचे सीबीडी...
